About Me and My Work
My name is Alexandra Gray and I am a BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. I have been qualified since 2014 and have a wealth of experience working in different clinical settings.

I obtained my undergraduate degree in Psychology in 2008. I returned to Guernsey and worked as an Assistant Psychologist for the States of Guernsey before heading off to travel Australia.

When I returned from travelling I moved to Birmingham where I worked as Assistant Psychologist for a Forensic Psychology practice. Whilst working for the firm, I gained a place on the CBT training at the University of Derby and moved to a Derby based Psychological Therapies Service where I completed my training.

On completion of my training I worked my way up to Clinical Lead where I managed a team of qualified and trainee therapists. I was also responsible for delivering training and ongoing CPD to staff.

In February 2018 I returned to Guernsey where I started a job at Les Nicolles Prison working with substance misuse on behalf of a local charity. Alongside this I began to work for the Island Health group of GP surgeries where I continue to deliver CBT.

In August 2019 I took the decision to move into full time self-employment and combine CBT work for Island Health, with online therapy for the NHS and some charity based work locally. I am able to work with any client on the Island who would like to access therapy on a private basis.
